Teddington's Sparkle Festive Fair opens Friday 20 November; Orleans House Gallery's makers' weekend is now set for 5 and 6 December. Dates, hours and prices.

Richmond upon Thames does not have one big Christmas market. It has a run of makers’ fairs across November, a riverside market that trades every weekend anyway, and a handful of community fairs, and the first of them is already booking. The Sparkle Festive Fair at the Landmark Arts Centre in Teddington runs Friday 20 to Sunday 22 November 2026, the same night Twickenham switches on its lights.

Everything below is from the organisers’ own pages, checked on 25 September. Where a 2026 date is not yet out, last year’s is given and the page will be updated.

Updated 7 October: Orleans House Gallery has dated its 2026 Christmas shopping weekend, Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 December, a week later than last year.

The quick answer

  • Sparkle Festive Fair, Landmark Arts Centre, Teddington: Friday 20 November 4pm to 8.30pm, Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November 10am to 5pm. Tickets from free to £5.
  • Orleans House Gallery’s Christmas shopping weekend is Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 December 2026, with more than 40 pitches and an outdoor food and gift market. Hours are not yet published.
  • Duck Pond Market trades in Heron Square every Saturday and Sunday, 11am to 4.30pm, through the run-up to Christmas.

Sparkle Festive Fair, Teddington: 20 to 22 November

The Landmark’s own event page has the fair confirmed for Friday 20 to Sunday 22 November 2026 at Ferry Road, TW11 9NN. Friday is an evening opening, 4pm to 8.30pm; Saturday and Sunday run 10am to 5pm. It is an art and craft fair rather than a food market: ceramics, jewellery, homewares, prints, candles and soaps, with small-batch spirits and local beers alongside. Tickets are listed at free to £5 and Landmark Friends get 10% off.

The Landmark’s autumn art fair, the other end of the same idea, is on 16 to 18 October.

The council-run gallery on the Twickenham riverside has put this year’s date on its Winter Show and Christmas Shopping Weekend page: Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 December 2026. The gallery says there will be more than 40 pitches of national and local makers, designers and artists across the site, including an outdoor food and gift market in the courtyard. That is a week later than we had expected from last year’s pattern.

Hours and entry are not on the page yet. Last year’s weekend, on 29 and 30 November 2025, ran 10am to 5pm and was free, with live music and family art activities, so treat that as the likely shape until the gallery confirms it. Orleans House is on Orleans Road, TW1 3BL.

Community fairs

Vineyard Community and Richmond Foodbank Christmas Fair. Last year’s was on Thursday 27 November 2025, 3.30pm to 6.30pm, at the Vineyard Community Centre in Richmond, with stalls, mulled wine, a Santa’s grotto and children’s activities, all proceeds to the foodbank. No 2026 date yet.

The Fair Symposium Christmas Fair, Duke Street Church, Richmond, is a pop-up of around 20 stalls in the church. The VisitRichmond listing is marked as passed and carries no 2026 date.

Every weekend: Duck Pond Market, Heron Square

The one market that needs no announcement. Richmond’s Duck Pond Market has traded in Heron Square, between Hill Street, Bridge Street and the riverside, every weekend since 2010. Its listing runs Saturday and Sunday, 11am to 4.30pm, with an artisan craft and food mix. The December dates were not yet on the site when we checked; they will be added here.
